Our story
Founded by Aleesha Hansel, an awarding-winning wine writer, international drink judge and UK TV wine specialist, Ouverture London embodies a unique blend of elegance and sensory experience.
At the heart of the brand is our signature wine-inspired home fragrance line.
Each scent is meticulously crafted to reflect the rich and complex aromas found in the world of wine, based on the 1000s of wines tasted by Aleesha in her decade-plus long career.
Every burn is meant to evoke your memories of great wines that you've shared and savoured.
However, Aleesha understood that just as smell is one of several senses used to enjoy and critic a wine, scent is also one of the many essential elements in interior design.
As such then we launched our complementary curated collection of independent wine lifestyle brands.

Considered production & packaging
WAX
Crafted from a blend of natural wax which is free from paraffin, palm oil, sulphates, petroleum and phthalates (to name a few) ensuring a clean burn.
WICKS
Our candle wicks are made from cotton and unbleached linen. This means your candle shouldn't smoke or create a large flame. There is no metal in our wicks.
OILS
Ouverture London candles are scented using a blend of essential oils and premium fragrance oils. The essential oils are naturally derived and the fragrance oils are of the highest quality. This blend is to ensure a luxurious product with consistent scent.
HOLDERS
Our brass holders, are designed to be reused, however as a cradle-to-cradle metal it is 100% recyclable without any material loss while using 95% less energy than other materials, like glass. Being lightweight brass also means a smaller carbon footprint than glass when it comes to transportation.
PACKAGING
Our packaging is plastic free and FSC-certified. The colours are created using vegetable ink, which is petroleum-free and ensures that they are fully recyclable.
